A New Season at Revive
Well… the summer holidays are over, the school bags are packed, uniforms are (hopefully!) clean, and my two little ones are back at school. 😂
As a mum, September always feels like a bit of a reset. The summer has been lovely, but there’s something about getting back into a routine that feels refreshing too.
And this September feels particularly exciting for Revive.
Over the last few months, there have been lots of changes, lots of learning and lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes — and I thought it was about time I shared a little update.
Something New at Revive — LymphaTouch
One of the things I'm most excited about is having LymphaTouch now available in clinic.
I've been really looking forward to being able to offer this alongside my existing treatments, and I'm excited about the possibilities it brings for supporting clients with scar tissue, swelling and tissue restrictions.
Adding new treatments isn't something I do just for the sake of it. For me, it's about continuing to learn, developing my skills and finding different ways that I can support the people who come through my door.
And I can't wait to see how this becomes part of the Revive journey.
Continuing My Oncology Learning
Another really important part of this year was completing my oncology course in June.
As Revive has grown, I've become increasingly passionate about supporting people following cancer treatment, including those recovering from mastectomy and other cancer-related surgeries.
I wanted to build my knowledge further so that I could feel even more confident in supporting my oncology clients and, most importantly, understand the different considerations that can come with their treatment and recovery.
Learning never stops, and I think that's really important in this industry. I want to continue developing my knowledge so that the treatment I offer is always thoughtful, individual and appropriate for the person sitting in front of me.
Getting Out There and Spreading the Word
Something else I've been doing a lot more of recently is networking.
I'm getting out and meeting people across all different areas — from mum's groups and local women's groups to cancer support networks and other community organisations.
Why?
Because one of the biggest things I've realised since starting Revive is that so many people simply don't know that scar therapy exists.
People often put up with tightness, pulling, numbness, discomfort or restricted movement because they assume it's just something they have to live with.
And I really want to change that.
I want more women to know that support is available after a C-section or hysterectomy. I want people recovering from mastectomy or cancer treatment to know that there is a safe, supportive space where they can ask questions and explore scar therapy.
And I want people with older scars to know that it isn't necessarily too late to do something about how their scar feels.
So, you'll probably find me popping up at local groups, chatting to other businesses, meeting amazing people and telling anyone who will listen about scar therapy!
It's all part of my mission to get the word out there.
Why This Means So Much to Me
Revive started with a simple idea: to help people feel more comfortable and more connected to their bodies after surgery.
But it's grown into so much more than that.
Every client who walks through my door teaches me something. Every conversation reminds me why this work matters. And every time someone says, “I didn't realise this was something I could get help with,” I'm reminded of exactly why I want to spread the word.
Scar therapy isn't something everyone knows about — yet.
And I'm determined to change that, one conversation at a time.
A New Season
So, as the kids head back to school and life settles into its usual rhythm, I'm feeling really excited about what's ahead for Revive.
New treatments, continued learning, lots of networking and hopefully reaching many more people who could benefit from scar therapy.
If you've never heard of scar therapy before, or you've been wondering whether it could be suitable for you, please get in touch.
You don't need to know exactly what you need. You don't need to have all the answers. And you definitely don't need to feel embarrassed about asking.
That's what I'm here for.
Here's to a busy, exciting new season at Revive. 🤍
