Frequently asked questions

When can I start scar therapy after my hysterectomy?

You can begin scar therapy once your scar is fully healed, which is usually around 6–8 weeks after surgery. Every recovery is different, so if you have any concerns about timing, please get in touch and I'll be happy to advise.

Can scar therapy help after a laparoscopic hysterectomy?

Yes. Treatment is adapted to the type of surgery you've had, including laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures with smaller scars.

Is it ever too late to start scar therapy?

No. It's never too late to start. Scars that are many years old can still benefit, with clients often noticing changes in tightness, numbness and how freely the area moves.

Is scar therapy painful?

No. The techniques are gentle and non-invasive, and are always adjusted to your comfort. Most clients find their sessions deeply soothing and relaxing.
